Evethoughitisexperimetal,ithasbeetestedbyseveralpeopleadshouldworkfie.Thisbrachistheoemostpeopleshoulduse.

Isomeveryspecificcases,youmayeedtousetheversiowiththecompaiochaelthatcabefouditheproductiomasterbrach(theproductiobrachisotbeigupdatedadshouldotreallyusedsiceitlackssomeewfeatures(suchasslightlybettercompatibilityforvideos).Foristace,ifyoueedtospoofuser-agetoftheRokuorwattoaccessplayhistory,thecompaiochaelletsyoudothat.

Theclick"LoadUpackedExtesio"adbrowsetothefoldercalledRokuCastitheuzippedarchive.

Usage

OcetheChromeextesiohasbeeistalled,youshouldseetheextesioappearithecorer.

Beforeyouusetheextesio,youwillhavetoetertheIPAddressforyourrokuitoit.

Isidetheextesio,clickothesettigscogithelowerrighthadcoreradetertheIPaddressforyourrokuithetextbox.YourRoku'sIPaddresscabefouditheetworksectioofRoku'sprefereces.

Oceistalled,avigatetoaysitecotaiightml5cotetthissiteforexample,adclickothecastbuttoitheomibar.Youshouldseealistofallcastablecotet(choosethe.mp4—seeextsectio),adaoptiotoeitherdowloadorcastit.Clickothecastbutto,adthevideoshouldautomaticallystartplayigoyourroku.

Itwillworkothemajorityofsitesusigahtml5videoplayer(adiafewspecificcasesalsoworksoflashsites..worthtryigout).Notethatsomewebsiteswillolyofferthecotetiahtml5formattomobiledevices,soyoucouldtryspoofiguser-aget(istallachromeextesiotodoso).
